Range relief

So I had a Leupold vx-I shotgun/muzzleloader scope.Figured I'd mount it on my Mossy 500.Couldn't get it to zero on this gun. What the heck! Considered what I might be doing wrong.Nothing was readily apparent.Back to the drawing board.Didn't want to spend money to make other corrections,so I remount the old scope, a cheap Bushnell 11/2 x 4 1/2 and hit the range again .Low behold this cheap scope actually comes close to 1/4 inch clicks and I'm on target in no time. What a relief. One last range trip to make to sight in for final distance of 200 yards.Even remounted the Leupold on something else and that went well as hoped.Unlike the first trip, the second was a pleasure. Can't wait for this season.
