Depends on how far ya plan to be shooting.
Me < 100 yds = peep sight.

How good is your eye-sight? I have always loved hunting with open sights on my CVA Accura muzzleloader, but as I have aged my eyesight has slipped; too much blur between the front sight, rear sight and the target! My fear is that I will soon start experiencing too many wounded animals, which I might not be able to recover! So I have decided that after this year this rifle will soon have a scope. I guess this part of being a responsible hunter!

like its stated above, depends on your eyesight and the distance. i personally love shooting irons. im actually thinking about getting irons put on my .270. its really your own preference and choice.

I have iron sights on two of my rifles; both for tight cover hunting, one for small game & one for big game.

I have plenty of scoped rifles, for when I "need" them.

When I had my old Marlin .30-30 I left it with open sights. I originally tried putting a small 4x32 scope on it, and it just didn't look right.

My Savage .308 has a real nice Bushnell Trophy 3-9x40 scope on it, and blows away the old Marlin .30-30.

Go with a scope. Way better in low light.
