Simmons 4x32 ProDiamond question
I have been reading a lot of old but recent threads on muzzleloader scopes and the Simmons 4x32 ProDiamond is mentioned often.
I usually don't put a lot of money into scopes and this one fits right into my way of doing things. My muzzleloader is currently equipped with a peep sight and if I stay with the peep, I won't be out much money for trying a scope. My shooting is in the < 100 yd range so a fixed scope will do for my bifocal equipped old eyes. My question is, other than price, what is the difference between this one that is advertized as a rifle scope, http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm...TOKEN=18138268 and this one that is advertized as a shot gun scope, http://www.natchezss.com/Optics.cfm?...eticle%20Matte The specs appear to read the same. TIA EDIT: Nevermind. A phone call has answered the question. The difference is in the packaging and thus the different SN#. They are they same scope. |
My guess is that there is no difference.

These are really nice scopes... love the pro-diamond! Have one on my .357 Handi rifle.

I have 2 ProDiamond shotgun scopes. Love them, and I have yet to break them (and believe me, I've tried). Only gripe is that sometimes 4X isn't quite enough, especially at the range trying to shoot groups at 100 yards....

That 4X32 Simmons Pro-Diamond is a good scope for the money.
