Browning A Bolt/Leupold 50mm/Browning one piece
I just bought new one peice Browning intergrated rings (12393) to put on my Browning A Bolt 30-06 for my Leupold vx-3 3.5-10x50mm.
Brownings website suggested intermediate ring height for scopes with 50mm lens, as did the place I bought them. My issue is the bell of the 50mm Leupold still touches the barrell of the rifle, causing the scope to not sit all the way down in the rings.... Has anyone else had this problem? And does anyone have any advice? |
Leupold scopes have short bodies so the bell of the scope sits a little farther back than other brands. You need high rings.

+1 on the high rings. No wanty scope touchy barrel.

50 MM = high rings
Cons - not a good cheek weld for a small guy like me ! 44 MM = low rings with Burris Pros - good compromise |
Thx guys.. I know the 50mm needs high rings, but these browning intergrated rings dont have high... just normal and intermediate. And the intermediate are for up to 50mm scopes, so they say.....

Regardless of what they say, if they don't fit they don't fit. It says up to 50mm but that does not include every single scope on the market.
If you want a fantastic mounting system, much better than the Talley light weights you have now, get a set of DNZ mounts. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct...tNumber=968660 |
thx bulls, im gonna try them.

I have a Browning A-bolt in .308 with a lupy scope
I had the browning intergrated rings. They don't work, I have a set that I need to put on because I have a bad screw. I have a set of Mark4 rings To put on. High rings are the way to go. I do have a 50mm and 30mm tube. Sorry about the large pic there are more in the Test area forum as I'm trying learn to resize pics to not scolded. Ty mike |
I ha the Browning AL rings for my Mountain Ti for a couple hours. They didn't work, had to go to burris parts to still match up with my Ti rifle.

On my Browning bars I have the Leupold one piece base with medium rings. I have 50mm Leupold scopes on both. One of them goes right to the barrel, you can barely slide a thin piece of paper between them. Shoots like a charm though.
