Savage 12 gauge over 223 scope

Any suggestions on buying a scope for above listed gun. The scope i have now works good for the 223 barrell but not for the shotgun.

i've owned numerous Savage combination guns over the years: The vast majority of them have this problem. The barrels are not regulated at the factory. Changing scopes will not remedy the problem.
