Cabelas has the Pine Ridge scope for a 30/30 that is worth the money. Watch and you can get a good buy.

Best scope for a decent price = IOR 4 X 32. Next best (and cheaper too plus with rebate now) = Sightron II 4 X32...IMO.

Any opinions on the few I have mentioned? Any others to consider?

Thanks,
I personally would like to see you go with a 4 x40 scope, better by far than a 32 in low light conditions.

I don't agree with that statement. An EP of 8 in a 4 X 32 is TOTALLY adequate...especially with quality glass / coatings. Have you ever checked out the IOR I mentioned above? It's an awesome piece. My only complaint is that it's a steel tube and slightly heavier than I like.

Default I heard they're making

some great $2000 scopes just for you blind guys. I even think the click indicators come in braille.

I heard the only trouble these fellows are having, is reading the price tags at the sporting goods stores.

There are also some great hearing aids, if you're going deaf, too.

Thanks for all the ideas.

However I went with the SII 4x32 as Sightron was offering a $50 rebate on the SII models. I already have one SII 3x9 that I like, so I thought I would give another a try.
