Traditions Scope

I was looking around the web and noticed a great sale from Traditions super deal section. I ordered the 3x9x40mm scope for only $39.99 The scope came in today(ordered sat) and i pulled my Nikon Omega off the Rem Genesis and mounted it. First thoughts clear glass....nice RealTree HD camo color...solid looking and feel. On the bottom I noticed made in CHINA.....Holy sh** that scares me. My next range outing will be the first test. Stay tuned hope to get out the first weekend on May.

I guess I would have to ask why you would remove a Nikon scope to make room for a $40.00 Traditions scope? I have one of those Traditions scopes laying around that came on a used CVA I bought and there is no way I would choose it over a Nikon Omega. Just my opinion, take it as you will.

Omega is going on my new Triumph and for the Genesis I didn't want to pay close to $200 for a scope. On the blackpowder section alot of guys have luck with those cheap simmons so I figured I would give Traditions a try and for %60 off what the hell.

That's cool. I was just hoping you didn't think that the Traditions was a better scope than the Nikon, that's all I was getting at. I have an older Simmons Aetec on my Optima Pro and never had a problem. In fact, I have them on alot of rifles, they seemed to be a very good scope for the money but that's off topic.

Have you had a chance to try it out yet? I was just wondering how it did.
