Another great scope is the Zeiss Conquest (3-9 X 40). Cabelas has them for $399.
+1

Got that scope on my gun...best product around for the price!

Default scope

Look on e-bay for a used Zeiss Conquest. They have a lifetime transferable warranty and are the best scope for the money.

Pentax Pioneer II 4.5x14 w/AO for under $150. Same as Burris Fullfield II, I bought one last month and I'm pretty impressed.

Hands down . . . the Alpen Apex!!!
Google it and many stores will come up.
Many BDC type reticles available. As well as magnifications
All easily found under $300.00!!!
Seem to be very durable. I put one on my 7Mag and is holding up flawlessly.

I just picked up a new Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 for $340 from Cabelas with free shipping. I had a coupon and combined some Cabelas bucks to get the price. I am very impressed with it so far. Cameraland in NY has Zeiss Conquest Demos for $369 shipped....everything I have read about these demo scopes has been great.

Zeiss Conquest, Nikon Buckmaster, Nikon monarch if you can find a deal.

Really though, you need to go look at the scopes, because everyone has different eyes. Personally, I've been really impressed with the Nikon product line.

I've heard all the hype about vortex, but I haven't looked through one myself. I plan on going to a show soon and trying them out.

I'd agree on the Elite 4200 recommendation. It's about the best at that price point. BUT, check out bearbasin.com

I've purchased a number of scopes there and find them to be the lowest price option.
