Default .270 Whitetail scope??

I badly need a upgrade on my current simmons scope that is on my .270 Savage. Last year i missed out the the chance for a large buck because it had just become slightly to dark to shoot through the scope. So i would like a scope that is gonna perform well at twilight. I would also like something that will do pretty good at long ranges up to 500yd's. My budget is anything under $150. Thanks guys, If you need more info i can provide it.

WOW, $150 is a tough ceiling for quality. I'd suggest investigating ones such as: Swift Premier, Sightron S1 milldot or HHR, or Nikko Sterling Game King. Perhaps you can save a bit more and get up around $300???

Go to E-Bay and search for Bushnell Elite 3200 scopes. You might be able to pick one up close to your budget. Very nice scope for the money.

Thirdgenerationshootersupply.com has Bushnell Elite 3200 with firefly on sale for $153 right now. That is what I would do. Also look on ebay for a burris Fulfield II I got mine new on there for $150.

The Bushy Elite 3200 is way better than the Banner or Trophy series. The suggestion of a Burris Fullfield II is also a good choice. Maybe a used Leupy VX II?

Save your money and buy some quality glass.

Buy it once.................!

Rule of thumb = At least what you paid for the rifle (most say X2).

You may be able to get Nikon Prostaff off of Ebay for the price.
