RE: H 4350 and IMR 4350

The issue here is whether one should load a powder using the data for another.....yes 4350 was stated but the issue is not IMR/H-4350...it's data substitution.....got it?
Really a simple matter. Not sure why your having trouble grasping it.

No, thats what you want to make an issue. You should start a new post of your own and not hijack this one if thats the issue you want to make. My issue, and my comment to mossy, not you, was yes with his particular caliber, and bullets, it is safe to start at min load with either 4350 and work up. Do you GET IT? The last poster was asking me, not you. I clearly posted, I don't know if 4831 can be. I have talked to Mossy on the phone about it, and clearly talked about 4350.

If you want to discuss substitution, you ought to make a new post.

retraction, retraction!!!! bigcountry is correct....makes not a wit, according to my books, reloading the 270 with H or IMR 4350. The numbers are that close. I apologise to bigcountry and only offer my ignorance as an excuse for you see, nothing in our hobby is set in concrete. I don't know what else to say....have been reloading for 40+ years and should have known better....when you think you know it all......well you don't. Good discussion here, however. just be careful when applying same numbers with different powders....not good as a rule. Regards, Rick.

Well 48, you have sparked my interest in 4831. And also see the 2gr delta. And like you thats getting too much. But for me there is only one 4831, and thats H4831sc and only one 4350 and thats IMR.:D

I would say if Hod tries to drop some lines people are going to yell to high heavens. I know I will for IMR4350.

If you want to borrow my mountain Rott, I'll lend him to you. Beowulf is a good 2 1/2 times the size of that overgrown Dobe
No Thankyou, sounds as if he would pass out 30 sec after attach with a heart attack if he is that big.
That's entirely possible, but he's never had to spend more'n 10 seconds in any fight and that was two pit bulls. :D
