Better bullet

I was looking to reload some bullets for hunting and came across a problem. I shoot a Remington 270, usually in mature oaks with a max shot of about 150 yards. I shoot nosler bullets but was wondering if i should use the balistic tip or the partition. any help would be appreciated.

Thanks again!!!!

Well, Duck, what are you shooting? Ducks?? Bucks?? Bulls?? Bears?? The Partition Jacket will let you shoot just about anything, from coyotes to grizzly bears, but the BT's limit you to shooting more lightly constructed critters up to big mule deer. I would not choose the BT for elk, but it would do for them in .270 is you were using the 150 grain BT and limited yourself to broadside rib cage shots only!!

Keep yore powder dry!!

For deer, bears, hogs I like the 130 gr speer grand slam. Second choice would be 140 gr hornady or 130 partition. If you want a good 150 for deer I like the 150 gr. speer hot-core.

If your hunting deer,BT's wouldn't be my first choice past 100 yards! Now 100 and under...<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
