35 Whelen

Finally got out to the range yesterday and fired my 7600. Started with 60 gr. of Hodgdon BLC-2 and 200 gr. Hornady PSP. Worked up to 61.5 gr. in .5 gr. increments. No high pressure signs and all brass ejected smoothly. Didn't feel like trudging through the snow so only shot at 50 yards. Ended up with point of impact 1" high.

I had really good luck with varget and H322 also for the whelen. My favorite load was a 250gr Hornady RN with Varget powder for 2400fps.

Thanks guys. Josh, I'm primarily using the gun for white tails so 250 gr. bullets may be to heavy. I'm thinking about trying 225 gr. ballistic tips. It's more an issue of flat shooting than of bullet performace on the critters.

Bsteve, if it's primarily a WT gun then I would stay with 200 gr bullets. My 7600 likes the hornady interloks on top of 57.6 gr of 4064. While the noslers are excellent bullets I can't see paying that much. Accurate out of my 7600 and does quite well on wt's.
