44 Mag reloading data

I just bought some alliant unique powder and some 240gr xtp's does anyone have any data for this combo.

According to the "Hornady Handbook of Cartridge Reloading Fifth Edition" a .44 Rem. Mag. using a 240 gr. XTP with Unique MIN.. 9.5 grs. 1100 f/s MAX. 10.7 grs. 1200 f/s. Good luck.

Alliant's manual (you can download it off the website) lists max. charge of 10.3 gr...

to be honest with you, I prefer 2400 in my 44Mag loads...

I use 10gr of Unique and XTP's. Real nice practice load. I also use 11gr of unique and Laser cast 240gr. This is my favorite practice load.

Alot of target shooters like 8.5gr of Unique with the 240gr XTP but it produces alot of smoke as pressure is low. Very dirty.

Like Razorhead and Elmer Keith, I also like 2400 for 44 mag loads.
