7 STW handloads for 1000 yard gun

I have a 7 STW with a 28 inch Hart barrel and looking forward to use this as a 1000 yard gun for competition. Anyone suggest a good handload with Sierra Matchkings, Bergers and Hornady A- Max bullets in the 162- 168 grain range. I will work up a load soon with a variety of powders in N165, H1000, IMR 7828, Reloader 22 & 25 and 50BGM. I will be here lurking around until someone comes up with a post,,, good shooting.

id go with the sierra matchkings in the 160 grain range. good luck

My gunsmith has a simular setup. Seems to favor 140gr and 7828, and RL22 in 78gr. And H1000 for 160gr.

For 1000 yards, you are of course going to have to do your own load development.

I'd suggest going to one of the benchrest sites and maybe www.longrangehunting.com and posting your question there. I can't remember the web addresses of the benchrest sites, but I think www.benchrest.com is one of them.
