Calculations?
OK, now that most of deer hunting is over, I'll be looking to do a bunch of reloading. I am hoping to get out next spring to do some Prairie dog shooting. I have "best loads" from testing the .22-250 and want to load up a bunch of each. I have an adjustable varmit scope on the Savage fvss. What I am looking for is info on a couple of things. First. I plan to zero with one round and then "know" the adjustments to zero for the others. Does anyone do this? Second, I have a Chronograph and can get velocities easily. I know there are some sites out on cyberspace that help calculate drop at distance, etc. Can I "know" the drops for each load at distance and be able to adjust the scope accordingly?

RE: Calculations?
Can I "know" the drops for each load at distance and be able to adjust the scope accordingly? Check out this site: It can do the caluculations for any load, as long as you know the ballistic coefficient of the bullt, the MV, and the zero range..... http://www.biggameinfo.com/BalCalc.aspx Good luck! |
