Accubond vs Partition

I ordered 2 boxes of bullets, 1 box of 180 gr Accubonds, 1 box of 180 gr Partitons, to reload in my 300 RUM. I called Nosler for data on the Accubond since there is no data in my Nosler book. Well the tech told me to use the same loads for the Accubond as the Partition and it SHOULD work. Well, as my luck goes (usually not good) I got the Accubonds to shoot very well with 93 gr of H-1000 and Winchester Mag primers. (thanks to Bigcountry). So then I worked up equivilent loads for the Partitions, and they were horrible, 93, 94 and 95 gr. of H-1000, my best group was well over 2" at 100 yrds. They were also about 7" lower on paper from the Accubonds. My question is, if these bullets are supposed to be the same, if measuring from the ogive, I have them seated the same, why dont they shoot the same? I know the Partiton is a shorter bullet, could this be why? What can you guys recommend as my next step?

RE: Accubond vs Partition

Partitions also shoot to much different points of impact than ballistic tips or accubonds in my 300ultramags.Partitions also don't group well in my 7mmstw's or 300ultramags despite having tried several bullet weights and powders such as r-25,imr7828 and h-1000.You can try different powders but some guns just don't like some bullets.I actually get the best results in larger cases using federal 215 primers.
