Is PMP brass any good??

I have a bunch of PMP .308 win brass, I wasn't to impressed with the factory loads accuracy but did shoot well enough to deer hunt with. Are they worth reloading or will I just be wasting my time with them?

Load them up, they may preform well for you. Good luck.

I too had a fair number of PMP brass cases, in both 30-06 and .308Win. After taking the time to trim and dress the mouth of all the cases AND true up the flash hole, I got all the expected accuracy from rounds loaded with PMP that I would expect from National Match brass.....Oh, Yeah, I did need to press in primers, load propellent and bullets before I tested this brass! <8^)

I hand load all my hunting loads the only time i shoot factory loads is to burn them up for the brass to reload. factory loads are very inconsistant they want to mass produce them so they can't spend the amount of time it takes to make it right. if the brass has a defect in it that's when you need to worry about it.

As long as the brass is clean and free from blemishes, I have had no problems reloading any brass, provided that all the prep is done.
The only way that I now shoot factory cartridges, is to first pull the bullet and reseat closer to my lands. Getting the OAL correct for my rifle really does improve the performance of any factory cartridges.

Is PMP at all connected with the other company PMC? Their logos look similar.

PMP vs PMC: I have not got the boxes handy, but I believe that one of those is S. African, while the other is Korean.

Thanks........
I shoulda done a google search to answer my own question!

You're right about one being from south Africa....that would be PMP

And PMC is from Boulder City NV....unless they're owned by a Korean co.

Good news is they are different companies (it would appear) and both producing decent stuff...good..more competition......

Okay, 8mm/06, I dug out a box of PMC. The ammo is made in ROK and imported by Eldorado of Boulder. I believe that it was Winchester that set up the cartridge factory in the Republic of Korea. Those guys have been really tough troops for many years and turn out serviceable firearms, so I would expect no less from their ammo.

RE: Is PMP brass any good??

I have only owned and/or shot the PMC stuff and have had very good results from the ammo, rifle and handgun, and have even reloaded some of their 6.5 X 55 brass.
The PMP company looks promising, as when I went to their site it
appears they produce an awful lot of military contract stuff.........they must know how to produce bunches at a time.......
I know that the local sporting goods store "Dunham's" is selling the PMP stuff right now VERY cheap. I'm gonna buy several boxes of their 30/06 to give it a try. $5.99 a box of 20 is almost too good to be true. I hope the stuff is good.
