Any Good? Hansen: Yugoslav
I have been cleaning out the gun room and ran across some once fired brass 7mmRemMag cases. Made in Yugoslavia 1994 and sold by Hansen Cartridge Co. Anyone had any experience with this brand brass? Good? Junk?

RE: Any Good? Hansen: Yugoslav
Maybe I'm a bit biassed since I'm half Yugoslavian but I feel they make some quality stuff look at their SKS's for example in my opinion its the best made sks on the planet. I have shot lots of Yugo manufactured ammo and never had any problems. Just before you reload those shells besure they are not Berdan primed are you may have a big problem and wind up having to buy a new deprimer pin for your resizing die. Berdan primed cases have the 2 flash holes to the sides of the primer pockets rather then the one hole in the center.

ROFLMAO yeah that yugo car well I dont what the deal was with it. I guess you just have to figure like most other communist countries they put most of their money and effort into having the really good weapons.

I have had good performance form Hansen brass. I had a few boxes of it in 6.5 X 55 a few years back. Re-laoded it about 3 times....no problems at all

RE: Any Good? Hansen: Yugoslav
The Hansen ammo that I originally had was 7mmRemMag 140grSP made in the now non-existant Yugoslavia. Those cartridges shot very good groups. I have not had a 7mmRemMag since I bought those cartridges, until I recently got a really good price on a Tikka in that chambering, on GunsAmerica. I really appreciate these positive posts, concerning the Hansen brass, because when I dug out the cases, I found that I have over 100 once fired pieces that I can clean and reload. Never know what to save, but this time holding onto brass for which I had no rifle, paid off!
