BC got a good deal on a Redding Big Boss last week so I went with that instead of my first choice Bonanza Co-ax. I have Forster dies on order as well as 100 remington cases plus all the stoney point paraphenelia needed. Also still darn deciding between a 3.5-10x44 Zeiss or the 4.5-14x44 Zeiss it really is hard making a decision on this. I purchased a 3.5-10 and then called the guy back and told him to cancel it. At the same time I am messing with a 7 WSM and finally have recieved all the equipment I need to reload for it. WOn't be reporting anything back though unless this gun 7STW shoots 1/2" groups at 300 yards:D:D:D:D:D:D will have to cull it if it doesn't do that

ORIGINAL: bigcountry eld, all I could do is look at the appearance. I measured cases I have resized, and compared against. I also notice a very visible bright ring near the base. The primers were much flatter than any I have ever reloaded. And thats alot of 308 ammo. Gut feelings, along with the primers being gold, made me send them back to the person. Maybe they are once fired, but alot of things told me different. Didn't have time or interest in finding out. So I got a refund. And from now on buy them new. |

I would have never bought brass from a individual to begin with. I would maybe take it if it was given to me for free then i would take them and inspect them if they were bad no loss. If i was gonna buy brass I would buy it from a reputable company like midwayusa or cabelas.

I looked into it after I purchase some federal large rifle primers they were nickel color
I then looked at a box of federal gold medal 308 match ammo guess what the primer were gold in color. sorry to burst your bubble friend but those shells sound like factory perhaps whoever shot them has some serious head spacing issues with their rifle. But then a again winchesters large rifle primers are gold in color so who knows |
