Go in to buy Fed 300RUM brass
 

Hey, I was thinking I would like to see if this federal brass is any good for my 300RUM. I can get it from http://www.dlsports.com/fed_300_rum_brass.html.

1000pieces for 515 dollars. Figured get five people together.

To be honest, I have had great luck with federal brass in 308win and 270win. I have about 200 pieces for each caliber. Seems softer. But both caliber have been shot about 3 times. Necks are getting a tad harder.

So I figured I would give it a try for 300RUM. The remington brass for my 300RUM has trouble getting into my press. Tryed two different shell holders. The bottom is not perfectly round. Remington said the problem has been corrected.

That's what Ihave heard also..seems well made I have used it in a 7 Rem mag with no problems

If they do, I can't find it. Doubt I could afford it. I was going to use Norma for my 308, but couldn't justify it for a stardard hunting rifle. If it was a target rig, I might.

Personaly I would use remington brass. (I am always looking to save a buck!) Its like $ 48/100 at Cabelas and I am sure you could find once fired cheaper on e-bay.

Yep, I got about 400 pieces of that remington brass. Check that neck thickness. For some reason, when you fire the remington brass, it doesn't draw up as even as other brass I seen. I mean you need to neck turn after 2 or so firings. I know from experience that the federal brass is a tad softer.

Bigcountry I am intrested and want to take you up on your offer! But after buying my new gun/scope, dies, bullets, powder, and 170 rounds remington of brass.
