RE: Tropghy Bonded Bearclaws.

oldelkhunter.

I have never been able to get the Nos. bullets to group in most of my rifles. (1.5 to 2.5 groups throgh my 338 Rum. )

I have tried almost everything .
changing powders
grain adjustments
weighing everthing from the bullets to the cases. To try to get a consistant bullet.

It might be that my rifle does not shoot these bullets well.
I get very good groups with the Horn. and the A-Frame bullets that I have reloaded for this rifle . So I know that it is not my rifle or my scope.

So I was thinking about trying the TBBC and the Scirocco bullets. A friend of mine shoots the Scirocco bullets in his 300 RUM and loves them. So I thought that I would give them a try.

I have heard that the TBBC bullets were a pretty good bullet. But finding out that they might not be all that.

Hunter338..I don't want to sound like a Nosler employee nor am I affiliated with them in anyway. I have never had a gun that didn't like Noslers either ballistic tips or Partitions or solid base bullets. It just might be your gun doesn't like it and it doesn't make that gun unusual in the slightest. I have not heard encouraging reports about Scirrocos from a lot of people that post here although an outfitter friend in colorado has had great success with them in a 300 win mag and 180 grain scirroco. Have you tried Accubond bullets? If not give them a try and if they don't work out stick with the Aframes if they shoot well .

I plan on using the 140 grain accubond in my 7 WSM and 7
STW . I would also be interested in seeing POI changes using it vs a ballistic tip.

I love the TBBC bullets.I shoot 180 gr. Federal factory loads out of my 300 weatherby and they shoot 1'' groups if I do my part. As far as in field performance, you can't beat them. They hit like a train and retain weight, expand to a perfect mushroom!Every rifle likes something different, mine loves these bullets, and I can't argue with their results in the field.

TBBC = best IMHO

Only downside is lower BC

Well I just wanted to let you all know that the TBBC bullets that I have shot and reloaded are punching groups at 1.0 to 1.25. Not bad but the A-Frames are what I am going to stick with. They are hitting anywhere from .75 to 1.0. and I know what they will do on Bigger sized game.

I have killed two Oryx with them so far and they drop in their tracks. No need for tracking them.

Thanks for all of your replies guys.
