I like federal brass but they aren't always available so I use remington also . Had some winchester brass that wasn't good and havn't used it since .This is just my opinion I'm sure everyone has a favorite .

I use remington brass exclusively now but have loaded federal amd winchester.I find wichesters have a little more capacity but remington cases seem to last longer.In the june 98 issue of shooting times they tested various brass suppliers for hardness.in order they were

I go with the Rem,because I can usually get them locally,in bulk of 50 or 100.I picked up a bag of winchester in the gun shop and just looking through the plastic bag I saw 2 with cracked necks,I told the owner and got the Rem as before.

I hear you can get Federal match brass for reloading in 100 round packs and a lot of people swear by them. I use mostly Winchester and some Remington. Isn't the softer brass better for reforming and for expanding to the chamber walls? If not, why the practice of annealing when some neck cracks start appearing?
There is even better brass out there I just don't remmember the brand name.

Soft brass also needs to be trimmed more and if loaded to the same pressures primer pockets will expand much quicker shortening the life of the brass.

I prefer Remington. I have had problems with the quality of Winchester brass.
