It can be done if all the guns are relatively alike in their powder demands.

Example: If you had a .270, a .280, a 7mm Mag, and a .30-06 you might be able to feed them all the same powder......but those are mostly redundant calibers too.

If you have a .223, a .260, a .30-06, and a .375 H&H you'll probably be unhappy with one powder for them all.

I buy H414, H335, and H4831 in 8 pound cans and that takes care of most of my rifles.

I understand the concept well....I've worked hard on it.....but it just don't seem to work that way at all.

Bite the bullet and stock a separate powder for each gun. One size just don't fit all...add in shotguns and handguns now.....you're likely gonna lose on that goal.

I try to do the same, I have loads worked up for the 06, 6.5x55, 257 Rob and 307 using 748 and H380. I also like I4350 for all except I don't use it for the 307. Depending on what your shooting a medium speed powder should work for what you want to do. That's why I'll use I4350 or H380 for most. The only powder that I use exclusively is 748 for the 223.

I can pretty much reload all of my and my wife's smokeless powder guns with IMR 4350 and IMR 4064 ('06, 7-08, 7-mag, .243), and if I really put my mind to it, I could probably work on some new loads and narrow it down to one powder for all except my .22 hornet, which I use IMR 4227 for. I'm a big fan of the IMR powders! Been using them for over 30 years with much success and zero failures!:D

Oh How I wish!!! I must have 20 diffrent powders I use depending on what being loaded at the time. I've pretty much got all my pistol loads down to W231 but the rifles and contenders are a diffrent story, seems like each caliber wants to be diffrent in what it likes best so I gotta feed them all something diffrent. Oh well.:D

I load for around 15 different calibers and in some cases I might load two or three different powders for one caliber. Short of counting them I couldn't tell you how many different ones I use .

I use alot of 4064 and 4895 for .308, 30-06, 8mm
other calibers I pretty much use a seperate powder for.

True!! BUT, you could get away with just two powders for these calibers. Like, WW 748 for the .223, and IMR 4350 or H414 for the .260, '06, and .375.

4831sc for .270, 30-06, and .338 as close as I can come. I have a 7.62x54R, but have not found brass and or tried to reload it. Would seem to like this powder as well!
