I use 42 grs of w760 with a mag primer and 129 sst.reason I use the mag primers is that it helps it to burn a little cleaner.
with a serria 120 gr HP I use 47.5 grs of R19 lg rifle primers. When I got my first 260 I bought a box of rem 140 gr and they were very accurate.

I use 49.9 gr. of H4831sc with Hornady's 129 gr. SST. I get 2840 fps and 3/4" groups out of my Rem. 700 "Mountain Rifle" with a 22" barrel. This load is very compressed, so work up to it slowly. Taken 3 hogs(135, 175, 215 lbs) and 2 Axis bucks(125, 150 field dressed) for 75 to 285 yds, and have not recovered a single bullet, complete penetration.:D

My favorite deer load in this caliber is a 129 gr. Hornady Interlock Spire Point using 46.5 grs. of Reloader 19. I use Remington brass and Rem. 9 1/2 primers. I get sub minute of angle groups out of my Rem. LSS Mountain Rifle.
I think that you got yourself a good rifle in a great caliber.

If I had a 260 I would try loading 120gr Barnes XLCs with 46gr of IMR 4350 at 2949 fps, or 40.5gr of IMR 4064. I would also try Nosler 140gr partitions loaded with 44gr of IMR 4831 at 2820 fps.

I have loaded Nosler, Barnes and Hornady for my 223, 7x57 and 30-06 and all three were very accurate, under 1 inch with all three calibers and all three companies.
