308 dies.... which brand and type?

If I can't find my 308 dies in my reloading stuff...... I am going to have to buy another set of them....... What do I need? ie. full length 2 die set? I have a set of lyman dies and a set of RCBS dies for other calibers... and don't have complaints with either....... so If I have to buy another set for my 308...... what do you guys recommend?

Forster Full Length & Bench Rest Seater Die, and Neck Sizer Die. Good luck.

What handloader said if you got a bunch of money. If not RCBS Full Length die set and a Collet Die from Lee.

My first pick would be the Redding three die set. Second choice would be RCBS three die set.

If you don't reload a lot go with RCBS. The things handloader mentioned are for us "NUT'S" who live to reload...;)

I don't guess I am NUTS about it. I do like to work a accurate load up for my hunting rifles. I will probably load no more than 100 rounds per year when I get back into it again. I just built a reloading bench tonight and mounted my rockchucker. It is real sturdy. It is about 22 inches deep and about 32inches wide. I have yet to build a couple of shelves on the wall so I can stack my bullets and mount my powder thrower.

I have all brands but anymore I prefer Hornady. I have a lot of Lee dies. They work great for me and load great ammo. I don't have the best of luck with high dollar stuff. I tend to have more trouble with it than the econo stuff.

RCBS will do fine.

I have all Redding dies, some 2 die sets and some 3 die sets. I like RCBS equipment, but favor Redding's die sets over RCBS's.

Update...... I found the missing box of my reloading stuff. Among the things I was missing was: 308 dies, 308 Norma Magnum dies, 223 dies, 243 dies, 30-30 dies, a couple of reloading manuals, some large rifle and pistol primers, some loaded bullets and alot of ready to load bullets. I am so glad I found it. I would have hated to have to have bought all that stuff a second time.

I also found some data from where I worked up a load for my Rem 600 Mohawk and my 700 BDL varmit special 308. I think I am going out to my store room now to load a few 308's. :)
