I have not seen the triple shocks, but they seem good.:)

RE: Barnes "X" bullet?

I load X-bullets in a 300 Win Mag and 300 Wby mag and they shoot 1" groups for me at 100 yards. I recently switched to the coated bullets and they are just as good. According to my manual, I am getting 3450fps from a coated 150gr X-bullet out of my 300 Wby (with a 24 inch barrel). We've used these bullets exclusively in my camp for the last 7 years and have killed abour 20 deer with them. Almost all dropped in their tracks with heart/lung shots. I think 2 of them ran about 20 yards. The rifles were 30-06, 7mm Rem Mag, 300 Win Mag and 300 Wby Mag. The two deer that didn't drop in their tracks were taken with factory loaded X-bullets (PMC ElDerado) in 7mm Rem Mag. The velocities were only 2800 for a 150gr bullet. The handloads that are over 3000fps really shock the deer nicely. I used to use Partitions but wasn't that impressed. I was very impressed with Trophy Bonded Bear Claws but they were too expensive. Try the X bullets.
