RE: accubonds
I loaded 225gr in .338 win mag for elk. Didn' t get a shot. Used it on whitetails and shot clean thru with BIG HOLES on both sides. Deer went 75 plus yards after a lung shot. I don' t think it was the bullet. The deer was dead when I hit it, it just didn' t know it!

I can' t find any here in ND. I tried Midway as well. No luck there either.

RE: accubonds
Should perform just like a Scirocco. In my opinion too much bullet for deer-size game but for anything larger or tougher should be a fine bullet.
Here' s my results of a deer shot last year with a Scirocco. It did the job but bullet performance from a different bullet would have been better I think. For deer either a Partition or Balistic tip would be better. |
RE: accubonds
thanks for the link power
do you have anymore picts or info about how the bullet performs on large bone (shoulder/spine) i am looking into both the accubond and scirocco |
RE: accubonds
Sorry, that is the only animal I' ve shot with a Scirocco and since it didn' t fit in my rifle well (they are long for caliber since they are made of more copper than standard bullets) I stopped using them after last year.

RE: accubonds
I have not used the accubond but I have witnessed several animals killed with the 7mm-150gr scirrocco.Expansion was very good and penetration was adequate. The shoot well in my friends gun but unfortunately not in my own rifles. As for overall length they are simply loaded to a length that is less than the magazine length of the particular rifle(just like any other bullet) and they function fine.
