300 Win Mag
#1

New to the forum today.
I have recently purchased a Remington 700 Sendero in 300 Win Mag.
I am wondering if anyone has had experience in this or a other rifles using Nosler Accubond's in 165 and 180 grain bullets. Also interested in other opinions of quality ammunition to try in the 300 Mag. Like everyone I am looking ammunition that will group well accuracy wise with great expansion resulting in knockdown power. I have had great success using the Nosler Accubonds in both my Remington 700's in 25-06 and my 270 WSM calibers (both factory and reloads) was hoping for a similar performance in this new to me 300 Win Mag.
Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge and experiences.

I've used the Accubond in an '06 with good accuracy but not in the 300 WM. I used to have one but decided it was more than I'd ever need. I take that back I actually had 2. My first was a Savage 110 and the other was a Ruger 77 both in the left hand variety. I used to shoot Hornady 180 gr Interlocks pushed by IMR-4350 powder - I think about 71 gr if I recall.

my one cousin has been hunting with a Remington 700 in 300 win mag and has been dropping deer everytime he squeezes the trigger. he shoots 165 grain bullets out of his. not sure how much powder he loads but he uses IMR 4831. needless to say it has the power to kill deer at most any range here in Pa. ive seen him drop deer at 400 to 500 yards with his rifle. one thing i know is his loads are close to max.
