10 ga.
Not sure how many shot shell reloaders are on here but anyway. I am trying to start reloading for my 10 ga. so I bought a manual (mighty 10) and followed one of the loads and when I was done the shot column was about 1/8" to low for a good crimp. Not sure if this normal but what is the best way to fix this? filler wad in the bottom of shot cup(it is a sp 10 wad)? spacer below the shot cup?Or thicker overshot card?
Thanks in advance for any feedback |
I've generally inserted a couple 20 ga over shot card wads,
under the shot in the 10 ga shot cup Ive used a mec reloader and shoot an ithaca 10 ga https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1013168287 https://www.ballisticproducts.com/PT...nfo/222PT1044/ https://www.ballisticproducts.com/10...s/products/84/ https://possibleshop.com/s-s-wads-shotgun.html https://www.trackofthewolf.com/List/Item.aspx/170/1 https://www.precisionreloading.com/c...!ga=10%20Gauge |

Want to try something really neat. I used to load for my Mag 10 and also for 12 ga. I wanted to practice for waterfowl one year so I decided to load a couple boxes of #8 shot in my 10 ga 3 1/2' hulls and take it dove hunting. When I shot those loads it looked like a swarm of gnats heading towards the target!
