keep in mind were discussing two totally different methods of bullet lubrication, if you tumble lube bullets are cast then your lubricant of choice

(generally alox or alox and melted bees wax mixed) RE-member bees wax must be heated to turn liquid , to be blended with alox,(generally in a 50%/50% mix)
then while warm poured over the projectiles, its a sticky mess so you tumble the bullets and stand them up on usually tin foil or wax paper to allow the lubricant to flow harden and dry off.

but this leaves the projectile as cast, full diameter and coated with lube, but not necessarily uniform in size,
this is generally used with lower pressure and non-gas checked bullet designs, many pistols and older rifle designs, that generally don,t exceed about 1600 fps , shoot well with these bullets.
the other route is to use sizing dies and a lube sizer, this is a press (theres a several designs) but all force the cast projectile through a swage of a certain diameter to force a uniform diameters and many seat a gas check
gas checks swage to a bullet base and form a uniform and bore tight seal that hot powder gas won,t melt, this also helps greatly reduce bore leading
and the swaging process makes the projectile diameter consistent and the lub sizer fills the bullet lube grooves

gas checks on cast bullets that are properly sized and lubed, can and frequently do produce accuracy matching,
commercial jacketed bullets in many rifles if you work up the correct combos, I've had the best results with the 33-62 caliber bullets,
and bullets in the .358, .375, .430,and .458 diam. seem to have a huge assortment of decent bullet styles and weights
obviously the rifle twist rate and velocity must be in the correct range to optimize results

I’ve been casting for about 49 or 50 years, and tried several different methods and lubricants. Recently the bullet casting community has discovered “powder coating”. Much cleaner, generally - equal to or more accurate, the firearm remains much cleaner, and with equal alloys - can get a little more velocity with no leading! Do some research on the subject....”you’ll throw away the grease”! memtb

I use the Hope's stuff sold as to lube my rifles. My bullets come out the right size, no sizing required. After casting, I pour the amount I need on the bullets. Roll the bucket across the floor for a couple of minutes. Deposit on a mesh screen to dry over night or till I come back to cast more the next day. But you should do your own research on lubrication methods here
