Did I mess up?
I ordered and received a new bullet mold and sizing die for .30 caliber bullets. The mould cast a 180 gr .309" bullet. I will be installing a gas check but should I have gotten a .308" diameter sizing die or is the .309" die I purchased OK. I'm sure it will be OK for firing but I'm wondering about reloading them into brass that has been FL resized. Will the extra .001" be too tight for the case mouth and crumple the case?

It's normal to have a cast bullet have a slightly larger diameter than a jacketed one. You could have gone up to .310 dia. The softer bullet will swage itself to the bore. You're in good shape. You may have to expand the case mouth a little to get the bullet in without shaving lead. I used to take a jacketed bullet of similar diameter and just start it into the case. Then I'd remove it and insert the cast one.
