Lyman Tufnut media

I was using a Lyman turbo 1200 tumbler with Tufnut media. The cases came out with red dust in them. I was wondering if that is harmful to the gun powder when loading the cases.

I believe that stuff is Jewels Rouge and as far as i know it wont hurt the powder ?
Just let me say that i don't use the stuff because of the clinging dust.
You should clean the cases as best you can.
Plain old media works just as well and is no way as messy !

I already have a jug of the media, so I will probably just clean a bunch of cases and take them out to the shed and blow them out with the air compressor.

i use corn cob media with some brass cleaner added to the media. casings come out shiny and no residue.

I use it all the time. Yeah, the red dust can be a bit messy but by the time I'm done handling them through the rest of the loading process (priming, charging, seating bullets, and putting in containers) just about all the dust is gone off the cases. In either event the dust won't hurt your rounds or your rifle.

Thanks Bronco 22000, my main concern was weather it would affect the powder and primer.

When I dry tumble, I run about 3 hours in white rice. Gotta poke a few kernels out of the flash holes, but overall, it’s been the most dust free, load ready method I have tried. 20lb bag from Walmart, easy peasy...
