Anyone tried the new IMR Enduron powders yet?
IMR 4166, 4451, 7797, and 4955?
I've tried 4166 for a few loads, but not enough to form an opinion of it yet. If you've used them, what's your opinion of them?

Well, I can see this one.
Guess I should add, I've tried 4955 (the 4831 equivalent) in my 270. It hated it, but then again, it didn't like 4831 either. I'm going to try 4451 (the 4350 equivalent) in the near future.

I am trying to move to a single do all powder for three different rifles. I think 4451 will allow me to do that. It outshot 4350 for both 85hpbt and 100 Prohunter in my 6mm. I went to a 140grain Gameking in my 270 which shoots everything pretty well but it did improved that group too.
Jury is still out with my 260. I waffle between 120 and 140 Sierra's here. The 120 4350 load is my best shooting of all time but the 140 gives best on game performance of anything . I have not worked up valid ladder to offer results for 4451. It is on deck.
I heard folks say you could just use your 4350 load with 4451 and accuracy is magically improved. The two min max are close and it should be safe to use a max 4350 load with same amount of 4451 as max on it is greater. My pet 4350 loads did not translate exactly into 4451. It can perhaps give you a ballpark reference for a starting place in your min-max.
Oh- 4451 looks like 4350 and meters about the same. Less temperature sensitive but I doubt that will ever matter to me. It just added to the initial hype that prodding me to buy and fix something else that wasn't really broke. :-)

Is 4451 powder the same length granules as IMR 4350? I would really like an equivalent that meters a bit smoother. Grains getting cut off can be a bit of a PITA.

MaineRida it seems you get that a lot with extruded powder. Its just the nature of the beast. I just try and set my thrower so it throws an amount a bit under what I want then trickle the rest into the scale pan.
