Any one have some loads for 30-06 using berger 175 gr. vld. Thanks:sad0064:

Not the best for barrel life, but lately I've been running the 175 Berger VLD Match and the 178 ELD-X over 55.0grn H4350. Not the easiest powder to come by of late, but I have about 9lbs left to play with, so I'll be well fed for a while.

Do you have the Berger manual?

I've loaded mine up with 49 gr of IMR4064 and getting good accuracy.

If there is a powder which has proven to produce top end accuracy in the .30-06 as frequently as 4064, I sure haven't heard of it!

AHHHHH... OK. I wasn't quite sure what you meant. I used to use IMR4350 until a friend let me shoot some of his loads with 4064. My groups immediately shrunk about 25%. Then once I started playing with it my groups got even tighter. And that load shoots good in almost every 06 I shot it out of.
