wind factor vs accuracy
Quick question, at @ 100 yards how much does the wind affect accuracy? The reason I ask is my reloads sometimes are very accurate and sometimes not so much. And my reloads are very exact and far as coal, powder weight etc etc. I just cannot understand why some days I can get 3 shot sub min of angle and another day I get 1.2 or 1.3 or 1.4 etc, with the same exact ammo. These are factory rifles I shoot and I use a lead sled. It is extremely frustrating.

It's not so much a constant wind you have to worry about but wind change and gusts that will really mess with you. A faster 3000fps load will be bothered alot less than a 2500fps load. Reasearch some data with your load with different wind mph and you'll know about how much adjustment would be needed at 100 yards and beyond as far as wind that will have a effect on a particular group. Light breezy days can be more frustrating on wind than full blown steady wind.

A guy can't blame wind if he's shooting round groups. Wind doesn't affect drop - if you're stringing horizontally, then sure, it might be wind (or seating depth).
A 10mph full value wind will push my 30-06 pet load about 3/4" at 100yrds. Very easy to change a 0.75MOA group to a 1.0MOA group even in a light 5mph wind if you're not accounting for any drift.
But - again - wind drift is horizontal. If you're shooting 3/4" round groups on good days, and 1.3" round groups on bad days, you can't blame the wind.
