I wanted to take a moment and thank you all for your well wishes and prayers that have been sent to me and my family. I suffered a TIA (a mini stroke) last week while having a Doppler test performed on my carotid artery. During the procedure the tech put too much pressure on the artery in my neck and dislodged a small amount of plaque thus sending it to my brain causing the TIA.

Anyhow, I have to have an operation to open up and clean out that artery. The vascular surgeon said that it was not a major operation however the recovery period is a little lengthy. If anyone here has had this type of operation, please shoot me a PM so that I can find out what to expect.

I had it done, out of the hospital next day.After a couple of days you will out and about. My next door neighbor had it done, out of the hospital went fishing, two days later on his boat. The man was in his early 80's.

Well I'm finally home again. I have been back and forth to the hospital after my operation due to a lot of unexpected swelling. But, I'm home now and doing some reloading. Thanks again guys.
