best, high BC bullet for .30 caliber

Hello, I have gained permanent access to a large ranch, adjoing a wilderness area in order to hunt Mule deer and Elk. I have gotten out my old .300 magnum and have access to a 800 yard range. What, in your experienced opinion, is the best, High BC hunting .30 bullet that performs well at extended distances?

Thank you, in advance

nosler LR accubonds, bergers, or even the hornady a-max, whichever shoots the best.

I shoot sierra 165gr HPBT game kings out of my 300 mag and they have worked well for long distance white tail hunting.

The new Hornady ELD-X could be a winner too...

My .300 Weatherby shoots Barnes 168 and 180 grain TSX and TTSX bullets well. My go to hunting bullet in this rifle is the 168 grain TTSX. I haven't been ably to get Berger bullets to shoot well in MY rifle.

In fifty years of successful deer, elk, antelope, goat, and sheep hunting in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and Canada, I've never found the need to take a 800 yard shot, but to each his own.

Do your research on the internet and find one you like. Then shoot it and see how it performs in your rifle. I really like the 180 gr bullet in .308 diameter. The Barnes TSX in that weight is a devastating bullet and very accurate.

168 Hornady match

Try Hornady match or Berger vlds should hold together

Hornady 190 grain boat tail. Extremely accurate and smashes them flat.

800 yards with a hunting bullet could well be a iffy situation. The velocity will have deteriorated significantly by then and it may not expand.

We did Doplar Radar plotting of bullets at long range and one of the spitzer pointed soft point designs redesigned to a round nose in flight when it passed 600 yards.

I think I would look at a Sierra 175 Gr. Matchking bullet which is the same bullet used in M118 Long Range ammo which is the designated round for the M24 Rifle.

Those tourists the Marine sniper teams that totally surrounded in Fallujah and opened up on them sure did not like them.

I know if I ever build another 300 Win Mag 1000 yard rifle it will be loaded with 175s.
