Age of this ammo?
Pop-out Close Open Open with View all items Download Not really sure what forum to post this in. But I was hoping someone might be able to estimate the age of this ammo based on the packaging. I purchased 3 boxes of it since .30-30 has been hard to come by for a while. Also some of the rounds are a little corroded with green spots. They clean up easily with a little 000 steel wool which leaves the casings smooth and not pitted at all. Just some dark spots where the corrosion was. Should I be worried to fire these and use them in the field? |
I don't see any pictures. But any ammo with very little corrosion I would shoot with out worry.

Darn. No matter what I do I cannot get the picture to upload. They're white boxes marked Western and Super X in red letter. .30-30 Win 170 grain Power Points if it helps.
