Default 243 bullet for Deer and Coyote

Having a hard time finding 243 bullets, but would like to narrow my search by asking what bullet would work for coyotes that would not blow em up and the same bullet would work for deer.I have a savage predator with a 9.25 twist lots of room for length in this clip. One friend told me 105 hornady Amax but I can't find any.

I think both of Hornady's 105s are on the suspend list.

Not sure there is one...Most deer bullets will exit, most varmint bullets aren't suitable for deer...

I played with a .243 for a few seasons. I used handloaded 100 gr Noslers for everything in it. Good for deer/antelope and adequate for song dogs. They would always exit on the song dogs but since Noslers aren't overly expansive, they weren't too bad. Had to do a little sewing on the skins if I wanted to sell them, but it wasn't too bad. If you're worried about hide damage avoid the front shoulder and shoot them a few inches farther back. That way you miss the bigger bones and get ribs.

95 gr nosler BT, 85 gr nosler partition, you'll have 2 holes in yotes but nothing a sewing won't take care of.

I've used the good old Hornady 100 gr Interlock bullets for years and they put deer down right there. I never used them on yotes but I imagine they are solid enough to punch through without too much damage.

The hornady 95 sst. In use them in my 6mm for varmits. They redesigned for deer size game. They really blow a groundhog up. Haven't tried them on deer or coyote, but they should do fine. Seen the sst shot on deer and they work fine.

I have settled on Sierra 100 gr Pro Hunters for deer, coyotes and groundhogs in my farm beater Howa .243. I haven't shot a lot of deer with them (I usually use either a .270 or .30-06 for dedicated deer hunts), but those I have shot were drt.

In the January issue of Fur-Fish-Game, "Gun Rack" writer Ed Hall mentions the Barnes TTSX 80gr. bullet for deer with the .243 Savage lightweight hunter in his article on Coyote hunting.
