460 Shooters!!!
I am planning on trying the 225grn FTX in place of my 200grn FTX in my 460 S&W. Has anyone else tried this and with what results did you find out in the accuracy department. I just tried some 200grn FTX with Lil Gun powder and shot 5 shot 1-1/2" group at 50yds. But have heard that the 200 FTX dont have very good penetration qualities. My brother shoots the 225grn in a muzzleloader with GREAT results!!!

Well, just got back from the range today and shot 4 5 shot groups with Lil Gun and Hornady 225grn Flex Tips. Most groups were in the 2 to 2-1/2" groups area. Best one was 3 in one ragged hole and 2 others just slightly over that to open it up to 1-1/2". Think I found a winner!!!!!!!!!! May have to let Hornady in on this one!!!!!!!!!! Loads were tested at 50yds for beginning testing.
