Trying new bullets in the 7-08 Remington Mountain LSS 22 inch stainless. Was using 120 gr Barnes with 49 gr of 414. Shot well. But wanted to use a heavier bullet with slightly improved expansion capability, but still a premium bullet for penetration.
Decided to try 140 gr Accubond. Does anyone have suggestions on powder? I have preferences for H414 and IMR 4350 because they're dependable and I use them in my 243 and 30-06 but would be willing to try something new.
Considering my gun's barrel, suggestions please. Thanks

I've been loading 48 grains of IMR 4350 with 140 Accubonds OR Ballistic Tips in my 7-08
for a good many years. Both bullets shoot to the same POI with no changes. Accuracy is impressive. The rifle is a 700 CDL Rem. with a Rifle Basix trigger, Win. brass, Rem. 9 1/2 primers.
As always, start with a mid-range load and work up. To me, this is one deadly deer load and has done very well in the past...
