Reloading .204
 

Decently new to reloading and havent reloaded my .204 yet. Ive heard the 35,40gr bergers would be best prospect for dropping fat eastern yotes. This weekend im gonna make a trip to get the stuff but was wondering what type of powder i should use, how much powder i should use, and also if theres anything i should know about with reloading the .204 different from the 22-250 (as my buddy who is helping me reloads his 22-250).? Thanks, ANY advice would be appreciated!

I own and load for 3 .204 Rugers. None have been difficult to load for and these days I have narrowed down my powder choices to keep things much simpler. I like RL-10X and WW 748. Both of them meter well thru a powder measure which is important if you are loading several hundred at a time. Both give excellent accuracy and fast bullet speeds. Plenty of free load data available at the 204ruger.com website. Never take loading data solicited from a forum without verfiying its accuracy.... a typo or bad info could kill you.

you're using the right bullet for coyotes for sure, and there's many different choices for powder. Like skb said above, if you're running the powder through a meter, the two choices he mentioned will do well. If not, I've had excellent results using H4895, as many others have as well.

I use 35 bergers with h335. Youll have to look at Hodgens website for the data though or get a book.
