RCBS or LEE??
Hey guys, I' m pretty new to reloafing and have been using second hand equipment
and want to upgrade. I have been looking at both the Lee anniversary kit and the RCBS Rock Chucker supreme kit. Please reccomend one or the other and why, I would greatly appreciate it.................Thanks! |

RE: RCBS or LEE??
If you buy rcbs you only buy it once.Rockchuckers never seem to die.

RCBS. Good luck.

RE: RCBS or LEE??
I would have to say RCBS if your talking presses but I have had no problems with Lee dies .

RE: RCBS or LEE??
I like the Lee dies. The RCBS presses are made better, but if you don' t plan on case forming the Lee O-ring press is O.K. I use mostly Dillon presses now.

RE: RCBS or LEE??
Get RCBS because the quality is MUCH higher!! No comparison, actually!!:D

RE: RCBS or LEE??
My Lee equipment works great and its less expensive for a beginner. However the Lee Safety Scale is nothing but garbage. I can' t believe they actually sell this thing to customers. I bought the RCBS 5-0-2 and am very pleased.[:-]

RE: RCBS or LEE??
I used one of the Lee anniversary kits for years. The press is fine, but the scale and the powder measure leave much to be desired. My neighbor retired from reloading and gave me all his stuff so now I am using an old Herter' s press that is built like a tank, along with a Lyman powder measure. If you can afford RCBS then go with it. Another thing, Lee dies are not that good either.

RE: RCBS or LEE??
My Lee press has lasted my lifetime so far. I' m not saying that RCBS stuff isn' t nice, but as long as you are reloading and not forming some kind of wildcat the LEE chalanger press will turn out just as accurate ammo mines been in use for 20 years and should it wear out I' ll probably get another for around $40.00. That' s a claim you can' t make with RCBS. I use an RCBS scale though (5-0-5) IMHO that' s where the accuracy counts
My sugestion is to geet your equipment seperately that way you can get what you want not what someone else decided you need. |
