What is the best bullet for 1 in 14 twist

I am loading for two, 22-250s with 1 in 14 twist and would like an overall bullet review , to be used on Prairie Dogs, coyotes ect not deer. The speer sp in 55 gr is not working out the best nor the vmax in 55 gr , I used Winchester and cci primers and several different powders, would like some input here , thanks guys

Not sure if its the best. I would have had to try them all to know but......
I load for 3 22-250s and a 22-250 AI and all but one is 1-14 twisted.
I have not yet found a 22-250 that will not shoot a Hornady 52 gr. Amax. I am sure there is one somewhere but I don't own it nor do I know anyone who does. I shoot tons of pds with them and they are great for that.

According to Shilen= if you're planning to shoot 55-grain bullets, the 14" twist is ideal. This twist is also the best choice for 52- and 53-grain match bullets driven at moderate velocities. But if you're also contemplating shooting a 60-grainer, go with the 12" twist, since it will stabilize all the bullets you'll be using.

Try some of the sierra bullets in the 55 grain blitzking.
I had troubles with the hornady 50 grainers but the blitking worked great.
I have had better luck with some of the flat base bullets in other various guns, give them a try.

Far and away the best bullet I've used for prairie dogs in my 22-250 is the Speer TNT 50 grain. Not that it was the most accurate but that it was accurate enough, had the "red mist" effect I like, and was a budget type bullet purchased in the 1,000 piece carton.

The most accurate was a 50 grain Berger and then the Nosler 50 and 55 grain B-Tips and then the Hornady 50 grain V-max

Be very careful to blame the shooting on the bullets.....it just might be in the gun's bedding.

X2 for the 52 gr. Amax and I have a 22-250 that has a 1-14 twist barrel.

My 1:14 22-250 shot 55 grain BTs great! Then CA made us switch to lead free bullets. 50 grain Barnes Varmint Grenades shot lousy, so I had to switch to 36 grainers. They group well, but the wind really moves them around. Ironically, 53 grain TSXs still shoot well.
