crimping and accuracy.
To crimp or not to crimp, that is the question! Anybody like crimping their bullets at the cannelure on bullets like Hornady and do you get good hunting accuracy with them? I,ve been trying a load with the 150 gr. RN bullets from Hornady in .308 and 45.5 grs. of Varget. This load shoots an average of 1 in. at 100 yards and I feel satisfied that it would be a good hunting load for whitetail so far, what do you all think? The handloading manual says for hunting it is best to crimp and full length resize the case for the safest use. Thanks for your ideas and feedback.

RE: crimping and accuracy.
I used to crimp everything ,but now only crimp the ammo for tubular mags. I can' t see that much of a change in accuracy if any . Most of what you read in a reloading manual tends to be the person that put it togethers opinion rather than 100% fact. Try loading it both ways and see what you get , form your own opinion.
