I have a question for anyone who reload. I just started load development for some hornady max 110 gr bullets. I have found that my .270 likes 55.2gr of imr 4831. With this powder I can shoot 3 rounds at 100 yards with .296" grouping. I am excited about this but the problem I'm if I am at the target center mass, these rounds e the right. Do I re site my rifle or is there a way to get the bullets to hit center mass? If this is the case then I will have to re site my rifle to all my reloads, right?

Shoot your other load maybe split the differance between them or shoot a little windage. If your target is bigger than a pack of cigaretes it looks to me like its in a world of hurt as is. If you want a dead zero though you have to move it.

.......Congrats on a good group and good shooting. Have you tried reloading the same load and trying it again for verification? Hope it shoots as well for you again...

Thanks for the responses. I was told by some else also to just rezero so I am Headed back to the range to test some other loads and see where I am. Then I will do as suggested and split the difference. I just hope the other loads are as tight as these. I will keep u guys posted.

Well I went back to the range yesterday to test the consistency of my loads I just developed and rezero my rifle. At the range the winds were blowing 7-12 mph. Against better judgment I went ahead and tested my loads and I was excited. My groups were .411 inches with one flyer (anticipation), this is with 5 shots. I have found my first load for my .270 and am looking forward to the future loads.

Well, you could spend a lot of time and money and try adjusting the seating depth, neck tension (you'll need some expensive bushing dies), or powder charge to get the bullet to leave the muzzle at the right time to shift the POI back to center... or you could just turn that little knobby-clicky thing on the side of your scope 5-6 clicks left and call it good!
