Troy R,
All penetration test were made with the same load. CCI BR2 primers, 45.5 grains of H-Varget, Lapua brass and the 150 grain Hornady Interbond bullets. MV=2775 fps. I' ve come across some promising accuracy loads, but haven' t finished testing yet. Good luck.[&:]

BigBob,
I shoot a .308 too. I like seeing your test results. Very good. I think I am going to try the interbond (I had never heard of them before). On to the next question: how well do they group? Have you done 3 and 5 shot groups at 100 and 200 yd/M? I would like to hear results when you do. I have used Barnes, Combined TEch, Nosler, and have gone full circle to 165 g GK. I am however sold on your results, will try it and see if my rifle likes them. Have you tried the loads with IMR 3031 or Re15 Powders? Let me know I want to try these!!!

MarkIIVT,
The powders I' m working with in the .308 Win. has been narrowed down to H-4895 and H-Varget. I' ve tried IMR 3031 and 4064 and have eliminated them. While five shot groups were an 1" to 1 1/4" , accuracy wasn' t what I wanted.
Both Hodgdon powders have given better groups.
In my ' 06, I' ve had such good results with H-4350 that the only other powder I may try is Varget. I haven' t tried the Re powders you mentioned, so I cannot comment on. Will Keep you posted. Good luck.[&:]

MarkIIVT,
My rifle left the factory as a Rem. M-700 ADL.It has changed since then. I' ve had the bolt locking lugs squared and the bolt face trued. I adjusted the trigger to 2 1/2 ibs. I replaced the stock and hardware with those of a M-7 Mountain Rifle. This is a laminated wood stock. The action area and first three inches of the barrel have been glass bedded. The scope base is a one piece base and the rings are the old Redfield rings. I' m using my 6.5x-20x Leupold Vari-XIII for the accuracy test. Once the testing is finished I think I' ll install a Leupold Vari-XIII 1.5x-5x or 1.75x-6x scope on it. This has been a nice rig in the past and should be this time as well. Good luck.[&:]

You sound like my oldest brother with your equipment selection and adjustment. I have twin Ruger MarkIIVT' s in .243 and .308. Both shoot well and I have done nothing to either except get them out of the box and put on a scope. The .308 has a Springfield 4-14 Gen 2 scope, the .243 has a 4-12 Bushnell Trohpy. Both shoot sub .75 groups if I do my part. I would like to have the Leupold scope that you have it is a real nice one. The brother has the same type of scope.
Just got about 200 rounds of .243 and .308 to reload. I am trying the interbond on the .243 with 4350. The loads for the .308 is 165 g GK, 150 g GK, and 168 g GK, all with 3031. I am going to work up loads for these with Re15 it is supposed to be temp independent, we willo see.
