Small pistol magnum primers in 9mm luger?

Traded some small rifle primers for federal 200 small pistol magnum primers.
Can you safely use these primers in a standard load for the 9mm ?

YOu need to start out 10% down and work your way back up. 9mm's and 40S&W don't have much case capacity and little more fire could get you into trouble.

I myself have never used the small pistol magnums.

Thanks for the reply BC,
everything I have read, and researched on the web says magnum primers are a big no-no for the 9mm.
I'll look to trade them off.
Safety first.:pcwhack:
