240 Wby. Mag---Stuck cases

Been reloading for my 240 since factory ammo has gone up to $60 a box. Lately, the cases have ben getting stuck after i fire them. I resize and trim them after every shot and my load is below the max for the bullet weight and powder im using (100 gr sierra GK and 53 grains of H4831-SC) Also, it seems like they feel a little tight when being chambered--but this may be all in my head so????? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

I've got the sizing die as low as it can go---bottoms out on the shellholder when there is no case in it.

Is it just bottoming out or does it have a little roll over at the end . I believe that is what RR meant

The "maximum load" listed in the manual,is the maximum load for the gun used by the people producing the manual,it is not the safe "maximum load" for your gun.In some cases,I have had to back off the posted load by up to three or four grains, because the posted"maximum load" was too hot for my rifle.

Sizing die is as far down as it can go, if i go any lower the press won't cam over. Think im gunna try some loads that aren't as hot and see what they do.........It just shoots this load so well

Try the one I posted over on the Brass & Bullet thread. Also try to just do a neck job when resizing..some of those wby's are finicky like that.Good luck.

How many times has the brass been fired? Good luck.

no more stuck cases-----but

Took the load down to 51 and then 50 grains. Cases dont stick in chamber anymore, but groups went from almost every hole touching to about 1.6 in. Any advice on the next load to try..should i try a lighter bullet to reduce pressure but keep the speed up....dont have a whole lot of experience with this ....any input appreciated
