A friend of mine gave me a bunch of reloading stuff that was his dads all shotgun related wads,hulls,primers and a mec 12 ga reloader in the box I found a coffee can full of powder it wasn't marked. I sure he used it for trap loads as that's about all the old boy did. the powder appears to have yellow flakes in it much like red dot or green dot. I would hate to not use it but not knowing what it is well you know how that goes any ideas would be great THANKS

If I had to guess, I would say it is Alliant Clay Dot. It is supposed to have an orange identifier flake.

NEVER try to use a powder that you cannot identify absolutely. To try to use it would be courting disasster!

I just can't be said enough. What you have in that can is some very expensive fertilizer. I'd suggest you use it as such.
